Stephen Blades and his team have been our preferred contractors for all JMK Retail projects since 2009.
JMK Retail own a number of shopping centres throughout Southeast Queensland as well as Student Accommodation at UniSQ in Toowoomba. Throughout the years, Blades Construction has undertaken numerous renovations on these properties, including, but not limited to, Shopping Centre refurbishments inclusive of bathroom renovations (of operating centres), new fitouts, defits and refits, deck and outdoor area repairs and construction, whole residential unit refurbishments and general maintenance.
Individual shop fitouts include BOQ, Medical Centres, Pharmacy Fitouts, Cafe 63, Butchery, Bakery and the relocation of High Street News in 2009 in preparation for the rebuilding of High Street Shopping Centre, 52 High Street, Toowoomba.
The communication provided by Stephen throughout the project is exemplary, keeping us updated on progress, the construction budget, and his pricing is very competitive.
The skill of his team, from the design stages through to construction and completion, is of the highest standard, and this shows in the quality of workmanship that is delivered.

Blades Construction has been our builder and design adviser for 12 years. During that time we have completed 10 renovations in the Hotel, fitted out 3 retail shops and multiple renovations in our own home and rental properties.
Obviously with a commercial relationship that has lasted this long and encompassed so many different projects we are very happy with the quality of the workmanship, help and advice with design, communicating with consultants and finishing on time, within budget.
Being a Hotel that trades 7 days a week we need to ensure that whenever we do another renovation or extension we are aware that we impact our customers as little as possible.
